About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Bothell, WA, Julio's Restaurant is a vibrant celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine that promises to delight your senses from the moment you step inside. This cozy yet lively eatery masterfully combines traditional flavors with a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for everything from casual dinners to special occasions.

The menu at Julio's offers an extensive array of Mexican classics, crafted with fresh ingredients and bold seasonings that sing with authenticity. Start your meal with their complimentary chips & salsa—crispy, freshly fried tortillas paired with a salsa that strikes the perfect balance of tang, spice, and zest. From appetizers like the hearty quesadilla, loaded with gooey cheese and succulent meats, to more specialized plates such as the Plato Patron, the richness in flavors is undeniable.

One cannot talk about Julio's without highlighting some of their standout dishes. The Skirt Steak Chilaquiles is a showstopper: perfectly grilled skirt steak atop crisp tortilla strips sautéed in a vibrant red or green sauce, crowned with a fried egg and a sprinkle of queso cotija. This dish bursts with textures and deep, layered flavors that dance on the palate. Equally indulgent is the Carne Asada, a juicy, lightly seasoned grilled steak served alongside guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, beans, and warm tortillas—each bite a tender, satisfying experience.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the diversity and freshness on offer, especially the Ceviche de Camarón and Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, which showcase succulent shrimp infused with bright, garlicky, and tangy notes. For those craving the comfort of classic dishes, the Chicken Enchiladas in spicy chipotle sauce and the Pollo a La Crema offer creamy, robust tastes that linger beautifully.

Beyond its stellar cuisine, Julio’s truly stands out for its warm, friendly service and relaxing environment. Diners frequently praise the attentive staff, who go the extra mile to make guests feel at home—whether through genuine smiles, thoughtful recommendations, or pleasant surprises like complimentary desserts. The restaurant’s ambiance perfectly balances festive Mexican flair with a welcoming vibe, enhanced by lively music that keeps spirits high without overpowering conversation.

Customer experiences bring Julio’s charm to life: one satisfied visitor recounts how the skirt steak chilaquiles paired with a top-shelf margarita created a meal that was “delicious” and memorable, further sweetened by a complimentary birthday dessert—small touches that highlight the restaurant’s commitment to hospitality. Another diner raves about the unbeatable crunch of their freshly made tortilla chips and the rich, comforting queso fundido, while many others note the generous portions and authentic flavors that keep them coming back time and again.

Whether you’re craving the hearty, smoky depth of a Flautas De Pollo, the spicy kick of Chile Pasilla, or the sophisticated allure of Enchiladas with Mole Sauce, Julio’s Restaurant offers a well-rounded Mexican culinary journey that satisfies both casual cravings and gourmet appetites. Its blend of genuine flavors, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service make it a must-visit destination for food lovers in the Bothell area looking to indulge in an honest and delicious Mexican dining experience.

Decided to give a new place a try and WOW. It was amazing. The music is good. You don't want to talk? Not a problem you're vibing to a song. The host, always checking in and very attentive to needs. We got the chilaquiles, both green and red and the flavors were so good. The tortilla chips were not soggy soaked. They had a crunch so every bite was worth. Not pictures is a queso fundido that was a very delicious start. Lastly a churro plate. Every bite was to die for. 10/10 recommend

Today was my first visit to Julio’s, and I am surprised (in a good way) to find such a delicious Mexican restaurant near home. This is the best that I’ve had from Seattle to Everett. I had chicken enchiladas and my wife had the pollo asado. Very flavorful dishes! The chicken for both were moist and expertly cooked. The rice and beans were also a cut above other places that I’ve been to.

After losing our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Toreador, in Redmond, I stumbled onto this modest sized restaurant with exterior covered seating in Bothell. I immediately knew we were onto something when we noticed one of the El Toreador 3 brothers also dining there with his wife. My Chicken Mole was delicious, the sweetest Mole I’ve eaten. The chips were perfectly warmed and loved the accompanying salsa. My wife’s shrimp tacos were stuffed and very tasty. We’ll be back.
